It is with sadness the Wonga Park Cricket Club announces the passing of past player James (Jim) McKee.
Jim was a valued member of the Wonga Park Cricket Club. Jim was a past recipient of both the John Knee Club Champion Award (1976/77) and Ben Barley Best Clubman award (1991/92).
Jim was noted for his bowling and achieved 8 x 5 wicket hauls during his time with Wonga, including hauls of 8/25 playing in the 2nd XI and 8/39 when playing in the 3rd XI. In his 29 senior games, Jim finished with 87 wickets at an average of 12.76.
In addition to his Senior playing career, Jim represented Wonga Park in the clubs Veterans side in 1991/92 and was a playing member of our inaugural Veterans Premiership side. Jim was also a successful coach of our Junior U12-3 side. Coaching them to a Premiership in 1990/91.
